Congratulations to Ms. Kyle, the Forest Park Teacher of the Year, on being selected as the Roanoke City Public Schools Teacher of the Year!
We cannot think of a teacher more deserving of this recognition, and wish Ms. Kyle the best of luck as she moves on to the running for District 6 Teacher of the Year and hopefully beyond!
The School Board voted on May 28, 2024, to approve several transportation changes, including revising school start and end times. These changes were made to help get students to and from school safely and on time.
Forest Park Academy is one of two program schools in Roanoke City Public Schools. Students who attend Forest Park Academy are dedicated to academic and personal success. Students interested in Forest Park Academy must be referred by the school counselors at Patrick Henry or William Fleming.

LaKisha Kyle of Forest Park Academy is RCPS' 2025 Teacher of the Year!
During the week of Halloween, the community service club picked up litter around SE Roanoke in their costumes.
The grant will be used to enhance the education and independence of students with visual impairments through the purchase of specialized equipment and resources.
